RULES:

To be eligible to
enter a deer in the contest, your ticket must be purchased before 8:00 p.m.,
Friday, October 17, 2008.
è
Prize
Drawing/Supper Tickets will be sold until Saturday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the
GA/FL Tobacco Exchange Warehouse.

Prize drawing will
begin at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18.
A.
Prizes drawn between 7:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. may be
claimed by anyone holding the prize ticket until 9:30 p.m.
B.
Prizes drawn from 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. that are
unclaimed at the time of the drawing will be placed on a separate table.
C.
At 9:30 p.m. all unclaimed prizes will be returned to
the prize table.
D.
For prizes drawn after 8:45 p.m., the ticket owner must
be present with ticket to claim prize. Be prepared to show I.D. for major
prizes.

Supper will be
served from 6:00
p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the GA/FL Tobacco Exchange Warehouse.
1.
All deer
must be presented according to DNR regulations or the deer will be disqualified from the contest. This rule will be enforced.
2.
No person may buy a ticket for himself
and resell or transfer it to someone else.
Any deer entered must be harvested by the ticket owner. Stubs will be compared.
3.
Entering a deer will require a signed
statement that the deer was legally harvested by you, the ticket owner.
4.
Deer antlers will be scored typical
Boone and Crockett.
5.
The final recorded decision of the
scorer is absolute and incontestable.
6.
Excessive controversy with the scorer
over the decision is grounds for barring the hunter(s) from participation in
the contest.
7.
All tickets will be twenty-five
dollars ($25.00). Please show ticket for
supper.
8.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed on
the premises.
9.
All state and federal laws and
regulations must be met if you are a winner of a long-gun or any state and/or
federally regulated prize. If an
individual under 18 years of age wins a state and/or federally regulated prize
(such as a gun), a parent or guardian must sign for and meet all state and/or
federal laws and regulations. If
General Rule #9 cannot be complied with, you forfeit the prize.
10. The full
body or field dressed deer will be brought to headquarters. Check-in will begin
at 8:30 a.m. and will end at 8:45 p.m., October 18, 2008. NOT ONE MINUTE AFTER.
11.
The 10 highest scoring deer heads
and the owners must be at the contest headquarters (Tobacco Warehouse, Ga. Hwy.
32) at the time of awarding cash and trophies or you forfeit your cash
and trophy and the next highest scorer moves up. Ten (10) places receive cash and trophies.
12. Scoring of
the antlers will begin at 7:30 a.m. ALL deer heads must be at the contest
headquarters by 8:45 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008.
13. Time for
checking deer will be kept on the official contest clock at headquarters. Check-in time will be judged by this clock
only.
14. Clay
Gilliard Award:
▪ $100
plus Tree Climber for youngest female hunter (16 and under) harvesting a deer
(buck or doe) on October 18, 2008.
▪ $100 plus Tree Climber for youngest male hunter (16 and under) harvesting a deer (buck or doe) on October 18, 2008.
15. Joe Boatright Award:
▪
Rifle for age 16 and under for highest scoring buck
16. Rodney
Mullis Construction Award:
▪ One hundred dollars ($100.00) and a prize will be awarded to the hunter harvesting the highest scoring Cow Horn Spike
on October 18, 2008.
17. Fred Lee
Memorial Award:
▪ Gift
to oldest hunter present at time of drawing on October 18, 2008.
